Director's Message
Welcome to the Anglican Central Education Authority’s website. There are four schools governed by the Anglican Central Education Authority (ACEA); St. John’s College and St. Anne’s School in New Providence, Bishop Michael Eldon School in Grand Bahama and St. Andrew’s Anglican School in Exuma.
The ACEA offers a well-rounded educational product in a safe environment. Our strong Anglican ethos is a point of pride. We believe that all children have a right to be given the opportunity to develop their God given talent and to receive an education which will help them build God’s Kingdom.Our mission is to foster the development of our students’ spiritual, academic, physical, social, and emotional abilities. We seek to inculcate in our students the foundation necessary to go out into the world as lifelong learners, well prepared for future citizenship and life in an ever changing global environment. We offer a holistic curriculum built on balanced literacy which fosters critical thinking, creativity, communication and collaboration. Our teachers are experienced and dedicated professionals who are passionate and committed to helping all students reach their full potential while maintaining our vision of Excellence, Equity and Opportunity. Our schools are embarking on many new initiatives and our students are fully engaged in numerous projects which extend beyond the classroom and spark their intellectual curiosity. Our commitment to academic and athletic excellence has led to numerous successes and achievements with over 85% of our graduates enrolling in colleges and universities locally and internationally each year.
We thank all of our parents for their continual support and for entrusting their children to our care. We look forward to welcoming new families to our schools as we anticipate another successful school year. We invite and encourage our alumni to partner with us in building on the rich legacy of Anglican education. By the grace of God, we dare to be wise, building on the past, working in the present and looking to the future so as to light the World with the torch of Truth. This can be best achieved by all stakeholders working together.
