The Anglican Central Education Authority (the ACEA) wishes to advise the general public that it is aware of a series of videos currently circulating on social media relating to incidents that occurred on Saturday, 14th February 2026, at St. John’s College during a dance held as part of the school’s annual Mardi Gras event.
At this time, the ACEA is focused on conducting a thorough investigation into the matter. This process is being undertaken with all relevant stakeholders to ensure that all available information surrounding the incidents is gathered and reviewed, in accordance with established protocols and procedures.
The ACEA wishes to note that, based on the information presently in its possession, no harm or injury was occasioned during the events purportedly being circulated on social media. The ACEA, however, takes seriously any reports of incidents involving members of staff and any member of the public, whether on or off campus. Accordingly, the investigation will continue with the appropriate level of seriousness and due diligence.
In the interest of fairness and accuracy, the public is respectfully encouraged to refrain from speculation, commentary, or the circulation of unverified information, which may compromise the integrity of the investigative process.
The ACEA extends its appreciation to the wider community for its continued cooperation, understanding, and support.
Sincerely,
