Hurricane Melissa Advisory

Dear Administration, Faculty, Staff, Parents, and the Entire ACEA Community,

The Anglican Central Education Authority (ACEA) advises that Hurricane Melissa now poses a potential threat to The Bahamas, and the island of Exuma is currently under a Hurricane Alert. This means that tropical storm or hurricane conditions may be experienced within the next 60 hours.

We urge all members of our school community to take this alert seriously and begin all necessary preparations immediately to ensure the safety of your families, homes, and property.

At this time, no official closure of schools has been announced. However, the ACEA continues to monitor the system closely and will issue further communication as needed.

Please remain attentive to official advisories from the Department of Risk Management (DRM), the Ministry of Education, and updates shared via:

• The ACEA Official Facebook Page and WhatsApp Channel

• Smart Term

• St. Andrew’s Anglican School Official Facebook Page

Let us remain steadfast in prayer, trusting in God’s unfailing protection over our schools, our families, and our islands. May His divine hand shield us from harm, calm every fear, and grant us peace in the midst of uncertainty.

May Almighty God cover our entire ACEA family and the nation under His mighty wings of safety and grace.

With every good wish,

(signed)
