The Anglican Central Education Authority (ACEA) is proud to announce the launch of the Director of Education Scholarship Initiative, a new annual tradition aimed at supporting outstanding primary school students as they transition into secondary education.
The scholarship, personally funded by the Director of Education and his wife, provides a $1,500 award to one deserving graduate from among the four ACEA-affiliated schools. The scholarship will help cover the student’s first-term tuition upon entering high school, removing a key barrier to continued academic success.
This year’s inaugural recipient is Kyan Brooks, Deputy Head Boy of St. John’s College. Kyan was honored for his exemplary leadership, academic performance, and promise as a future contributor to the life and legacy of Anglican education.
“This initiative is rooted in our personal devotion to the future of Anglican education,” said Mr. Alphonso Major Jr., Director of Education. “We believe that celebrating and supporting our young scholars in a tangible way sends a message, not just about reward, but about belief in their potential.”
The ACEA congratulates Kyan and his family on this significant achievement and looks forward to expanding opportunities for future students through this annual award.
