Student Admission

All students must write and pass the entrance examination in Mathematics and English to enter grades 1-8.  Students entering grade 10 must have a minimum of five BJC subjects including Mathematics and English. All students are admitted on Academic Probation and must maintain an average of 60% or higher.  Failure to maintain may result in the student repeating the grade level or being requested to withdraw from the school.

Click here to review ACEA Student Handbook for additional details.

Admission Policy

Admissions are led by the Director of Edcuation.

The office of the ACEA must ensure that the applicants selected fit the enrolment needs of the school and that the school is a match for the applicant. The ACEA will consider enrolment for any student whose needs can be met by the school’s programmes and who can be integrated into a mainstream classroom.

The ACEA reviews prospective applicant’s personal and supporting documentation and results of admissions testing and interviews. Admission and placement decisions are based largely on a student’s age, previous school records and the results on the admissions assessments. The school reserves the right to require additional supplementary measures at parental expense, if deemed necessary, to ensure the success of all students.

Applications will not be reviewed until the entire application process, including application fee payment; supporting documents and testing is completed.

The possible admission outcomes are as follows:

  • Acceptance with offer to enroll
  • Refusal of Admission
  • Acceptance (Provisional)
