Mrs. Italia Davies, Director of Education, ACEA

Welcome to the Anglican Central Education Authority, the cornerstone of educational excellence within the Anglican Diocese of The Bahamas and the Turks and Caicos Islands. Governed by the ACEA, St. John’s College, St. Anne’s School, Bishop Michael Eldon School, and St. Andrew’s Anglican School offer a well-rounded educational experience deeply rooted in our core beliefs. Our strong Anglican ethos is a point of pride and a guiding principle that shapes our vision, mission, and values.

At ACEA, we believe that all children possess God-given talents deserving of cultivation, and our mission is to nurture every student’s spiritual, academic, physical, social, and emotional development. We are committed to fostering a safe and supportive environment where students can thrive as adaptable, relevant citizens capable of succeeding in an ever-evolving global landscape.

Our vision is to be the beacon of educational excellence, inspiring and empowering individuals to become compassionate, competent, and courageous leaders who positively impact their communities and the world. We envision comprehensive education beyond academics to encompass spiritual growth, social responsibility, and cultural competence.

With a holistic curriculum built on balanced literacy, critical thinking, creativity, communication, and collaboration, our experienced and dedicated teachers are passionate about helping students reach their full potential while upholding our core values of Excellence, Equity, and Opportunity.

As we embark on new initiatives and projects, our commitment to academic and athletic excellence remains unwavering, with over 85% of our graduates annually enrolling in colleges and universities locally and internationally. We thank our parents for their continual support and trust and invite our alumni to join us in building upon the rich legacy of Anglican education.

By the grace of God, we dare to be wise, building on the past, working in the present, and looking to the future as we strive to light the world with the torch of truth. Together, as stakeholders, we can achieve our shared vision of empowering students to become engaged citizens and ambassadors of the Anglican faith.
